This section describes the structure of our website and the content you can find on it. Information given here should assist you in using the Imperium Gastunum website.

Note: It might happen that we change the design from time to time, however the basic structure should remain the same.

The content of our site is divided into 4 main sections, which is reflected in the page header with a button for each section and with according menu entries in the Navigation box:

• Blogs: weblogs of our members
• The Club: information about Imperium Gastunum club
• The Jam Session: information about our annual contest
• Gallery: collection of our picture galleries 

Page layout (top part)

The Imperium Gastunum website is based on a three column page layout, where the main content is located in the middle column. The left and the right columns contain the following special boxes:

• Navigation menu with the four content sections
• Account block
• Special links block
• Who's online

By clicking either on a menu entry in the Navigation block or a button in the header bar you'll navigate to the respective content section. The menu structure gets expanded with additional subentries.

The account block let you create an user account, login to the website, modify your user profile, and create new content based on your user status. 

Note: Not only IG members are eligible for creating content. If you are interested on blogging on our website, create yourself an account and conact us via the Contact form in the Special links block.

The special links block contains beside this help page a link to the website's impressum and to the contact form. With the contact form you can reach webmasters and club's managing board easily.

The Who's online block shows you, if other registered users are online too. Clicking on a users name brings up their profile. If enabled by the user, you can contact them via a contact form on their profile too.

Note: The IG logo in the top left corner always brings you back to frontpage.

Page layout (buttom part)

The middle column contains a list of the most recent blog entries and page postings (newest first). In the end of the page you have the possibility to switch to older entries by changing to another page number. 

The page footer we use to link to other IG resources on the web and other hot stuff (friends, sponsors etc.).

Note: The IG website is enabled for RSS feed readers. If already use one, just click on the orange feed button. 

Posting details

Every posting on this website is a subject line, publishing date and author in common.

Depending on the length of the posting, a link Read more might be displayed. In this case you just see a teaser on the front page. Clicking the Reade more link brings up the full length entry.

Blog entry

IG members and user accounts, which are enabled for blogging, can create new content. After logging in, the Account block contains an entry called "Create content". By clicking it and selecting the content type of Blog entry the site will show up a What-you-see-is-what-you-get (wysiwyg) editor.

This editor provides basic functions for content creation (bullet lists, bold,italic, web links) and also always you to upload and insert pictures on the fly.  

After entering your content clicking the submit button in the end of the page publishes your entry to the IG site.
